We provided one Pentium II Computer with a 40 gig drive, set up as an Imaging Machine like
we use in our refurbishing project, plus 8 monitors, to Cliff Jones of the
Computer Literacy and Distribution Program
of the Chicasaw Nation.
They operate a computer refurbishing project at 530 E. Main, Ada, OK which is much like HelpingTulsa and we have agreed to establish a Partnership Relationship between their program and ours, with each group sharing any surplus material with the other group if they need it. Once they get their webpage up we will be showing this partnership relationship between our two websites. Since their program began they have received and repaired over 700 computers and monitors, and have provided computers to approximately 600 Chickasaw Citizens, in addition to machines placed in rest homes, civic centers, etc. They have over 1,500 Chicasaw Citizens who have requested machines that they have not yet been able to satisfy.
