Two Projects at the Same Time

Joe Genduso was here Saturday working on 10 computers we were building for Rev Kingsley Kanu's ministry in Nigeria and Larry Lockwood joined us, to work on 12 computers we were building for a Preschool for St. Stephen's United Methodist Church. One might imagine that having proponents for two different projects here at the same time might create a chaotic mess, with each wanting the same machines for their projects, or that they might have wanted me to focus on their needs, but there was an unseen presence (God) working with us, and not only were Larry and Joe willing to share my time helping each of them create custom images of software for their respective projects, and copy those images to hard disks to be installed into computers for their projects, but they were also willing to help each other find machines that fit the other's needs. Larry even gave Joe a couple of machines that we had previously set aside for his project, so that Joe would have ten identical machines to ship to Nigeria, and we found replacement machines for Larry's preschool project. We had just received some newer computers, yet neither Joe nor Larry insisted that they had to have these newer machines used for their projects - both were willing to use machines that were powerful enough to meet their needs, without insisting on having the better machines which other projects might have needed.

We started at 9 in the morning, and did not even think about breaking for lunch. I will admit that when we finally stopped about 7pm I was a bit tired, but it was certainly a pleasure to work with both Joe and Larry.

Here are some preliminary photos on the machines for Rev Kingsley Kanu's Heavenly Ambassadors ministry. Click a photo to enlarge.
